Meet Hope

Hope Mandel is the Founder of Global Decisions.

In her 25 years with Nielsen in account management and training, Hope saw that companies were investing millions of dollars in market research, but weren’t using it to its fullest potential. Even associates at research agencies struggled to provide insights and make recommendations. So, in 2003, Hope formed Global Decisions, with the mission of teaching companies around the globe how to make decisions using information.

Hope’s other passion area is supplier-retailer interaction. She was at the forefront of the category management movement in the mid-‘90’s, working with key retailers such as Ahold USA and Wakefern to implement their category management processes. She helped set industry standards for category management training certification while working as the Global Training Resource Director for the Category Management Association.

In 2011, Hope moved to Istanbul to work for Nielsen again. In 2014, she restarted Global Decisions, now ideally situated to service her many international clients.
